Sometimes you pick out colors for projects and they evoke a memory and this sweet quilt makes me remember my great grandma Cel. She had the most amazing white hair and wore costume jewelry in the colors of the posies in this quilt. I was also inspired by white picket fences that turned into churn dashes and spring and summer flowers that were around me. Most important though sea glass blue skies. Make sure to find your perfect blue sky to make this quilt come to life! I enjoyed every hand appliqué and embroidery stitch to bring depth and texture to each patch. I hope you enjoy making Cel as much as I did!
