Boyd’s Barn Swallows were inspired by my sweet nephew. He is already a farm boy and well aware of his barns, birds and cows. This auntie is very excited to introduce him to Bubbie’s flower garden and of course her button box! This small but mighty little quilt is simple and truly packed with all the best details. Hand applique, hand embroidery and my favorite button flowers. The simple patchwork and border make the layout contemporary but the handwork elements are a nod to the past. This quilt will be a treasured heirloom.
